      Alexis Culotta ’05
Bio:  Alexis Culotta is a member of the Humanities faculty at Richard J. Daley College
in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Lawrence University with a B.A. in Art History
and Economics and subsequently completed her M.A. in Art History with the University
of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Art History with
the University of Washington, defending her dissertation this coming May. Between her
past years teaching as a graduate student in Seattle and her current teaching career in
Chicago, Alexis worked in New Orleans, Louisiana, as the Senior Research Curator and
Education Director for M.S. Rau Antiques, an internationally recognized fine art and
antique gallery.  In this role, Alexis enjoyed a wide variety of projects in the realms of arts
administration, education and research. She also eventually expanded into non-profit arts
organization management in her role as the Director of Development for the Rau for Art
Foundation, which seeks to improve students’ access to the arts in the greater New
Orleans area. Currently second-guessing her return to the Midwest following this
“polar vortex” of a winter, she is nevertheless thrilled to be part of the upcoming Career
Conference panel and very much looks forward to meeting today’s Lawrentians.

      Chris Dorn '10
Bio:  Chris Dorn grew up in the Northwest Chicago suburbs and graduated from
Lawrence University in 2010 with degrees in both Art History and Studio Art.
While at Lawrence Chris studied at the ACM Florence program in the Fall of 2008,
and was awarded the Senior Art Prize for Men in Art History.  After graduating Chris
remained in Appleton and was employed by The Trout Museum of Art.  Currently
Chris works as the Exhibitions Coordinator which encompasses maintaining the
permanent collection, orchestrating future exhibits, and instillation of exhibitions.
Chris has continued his studio art practice, producing artworks that focus on identity,
      time, and notions of home.

      Elyse Lucas ’10
Bio:  Elyse Lucas graduated in 2010 from Lawrence University with a double major in
studio art and art history in addition to earning her teacher certification. Her journey as
an art educator has included teaching in Brooklyn, NY, Appleton Area School District,
Boys and Girls Club Fox Valley, and The Trout Museum of Art. Elyse is now a full-time
elementary art teacher for the Menasha Joint School District and will begin teaching
the art education methods course at Lawrence next Spring. She is originally from
