An Evening with Jill Beck

The Lawrence University Alumni Association and the Board of Trustees cordially invite all Quad Cities area alumni, parents, and friends to enjoy an evening with President Jill Beck. Assuming leadership in July 2004, Jill Beck was formally inaugurated as Lawrence's 15th President in May 2005. President Beck has presided over a number of new initiatives including the Lawrence Fellows and plans for a new Campus Center.

Hors d'oevres, wine, and soft drinks will be served at the meet-and-greet reception with the president at Biaggi's preceding her remarks. Vinje Dahl, '62, invites all interested guests to a private tour of his antique car museum following the event at Biaggi's. Directions to the museum will be provided at the reception.

You are warmly invited to join President Richard Warch and host Vinje Dahl, '62, for a reception and presentation at the historic Rock Island Arsenal Golf Club. Hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine, and soft drinks will be served and a cash bar is available.

Richard Warch, the second-longest serving president in Lawrence history, makes a final appearance in the Quad Cities prior to his June 2004 retirement. His insightful campus update includes news about one of the largest enrollments in Lawrence's history, an ever-diversifying student body, the forthcoming completion of a new residence hall, and more!

Special note: Please enter the island through the Moline gate for this event. This is the only access available after 5:00 p.m. and guest passes will be given at the gate. For security reasons, you must have a valid picture identification to access Arsenal Island.

Dress code: Club dress code is a collared shirt and sports coat for men and comparable level of dress for women. Jeans of any color and jean shorts are not permitted.

From Moline, Illinois: Traveling westbound on I-74, take the 7th Avenue exit. Turn left onto 7th Avenue. Turn right onto 14th Street, which leads to the ramp that takes you onto Arsenal Island. You will be on the main road through the island (Rodman Avenue). Turn right onto Gillespie Avenue. The Clubhouse is approximately 2 blocks down on the left

From Bettendorf, Iowa: Traveling eastbound on I-74, take the 3rd Avenue/River Drive exit. Turn left onto 3rd Avenue. Turn right onto 17th Street, then left onto the ramp (2nd Avenue), which will take you onto Arsenal Island. You will be on the main road through the island (Rodman Avenue). Turn right onto Gillespie Avenue. The Clubhouse is approximately 2 blocks down on the left.
