Alumni, parents, and friends are warmly invited to join Associate Director of Alumni Relations Andrea Powers, '94, for a reception, which includes a brief campus update. There will also be time to ask questions and mingle with friends. Light hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine, and soft drinks will be served.
Swarthmore alumnus Ken Schaphorst, '82, will perform his latest music with Lawrence University percussionist and Associate Professor of Music Dane Richeson, and violinist/violist Mat Maneri from the New England Conservatory. The trio will be celebrating the release of their first recording, "Indigenous Technology," on Accurate Records. Schaphorst was Director of Jazz Studies at Lawrence University for over a decade, and currently serves as Chair of the Jazz Studies and Improvisation Department at the New England Conservatory.
