Profession: Assistant Curator of Earlier European Art at the Milwaukee Art Museum
Lawrence Degree: Bachelor of Arts in Art History & Classics
How did your Lawrence experience prepare you for your current profession?: My experience at Lawrence helped me succeed first in graduate school and then in my career because I was challenged to think and write critically. Attending Lawrence also gave me the ability to work both independently and with others.
What is one piece of advice for prospective students about their time at Lawrence that is important for their lives after Lawrence?: I recommend that Lawrence students do at least one internship (or at least volunteer) in a career area that interests them to make sure it is what they want to pursue. I volunteered at the Outagamie County Historical Society while at Lawrence, and it was such a great experience, I decided to attend a graduate program that included museum studies coursework.
