College is an investment in your future. Don't settle for a school that does not truly meet your needs just because it initially appears to cost less. Many students erroneously assume that a Lawrence education is beyond their financial reach without ever looking into the extraordinary financial aid and value that we offer.
Lawrence strives to meet the institutionally demonstrated need of all domestic students who apply for financial aid. In fact, more than 85% of Lawrence students receive need-based and/or merit-based financial assistance. In 2006-2007, the average need-based freshman financial aid package exceeded $23,000.
Lawrence adheres to a need-blind admission policy for domestic students, which means that you will be considered for admission to Lawrence on the merits of your abilities and accomplishments, not on your family's financial situation.
The true value of a Lawrence education, however, lies not in our policies, promises, or rankings, but in the experiences you have as a student here and the opportunities you will have as a graduate.
*Although a large amount of aid is made available to international students (those who are not US citizens or Permanent Residents), their financial resources are taken into consideration in the admission process, and aid is awarded differently than to domestic students.
