What was the final factor that made you say "yes" to LU's offer of admission? |
The natural light in the art building |
Who is your favorite professor at LU? |
Goldgar (English) and Neilson (art). I’ve taken probably over half of my classes from them |
What one thing would you say is “The Lawrence Difference”? |
Everyone at Lawrence has something that they are really excited about, and that they really love doing or studying. Regardless of social orientation or background, almost everyone respects the interests of other students and gets along with one another. |

Which is your favorite resident hall? |
Plantz, because it’s the best dorm. |
What is your fondest memory of your roommate from freshman year? |
My roommate from freshmen year, Nora Taylor, was the best possible choice for me. One night we pulled an all-nighter and made snow angels at 4 in the morning. On various other occasions, we dressed up in garbage bags, jumpsuits, and inflatable kiddie pools, and we shared our room with a cardboard cutout of Beyonce. |
What is your favorite thing to do in Appleton? |
Honestly, the off-campus places I enjoy in Appleton are the parks, because it is easy to bike there and you have excellent people-watching opportunities. |

What is an uncommon hobby you have, and why do you like it? |
I was a synchronized swimmer for 10 years. I’m not anymore, sadly. |
What is something LU helped you learn about yourself? |
LU really drove home the fact that you can’t judge people by their physical appearances. It also taught me that despite first impressions, the people who end up being the truest friends and the most interesting people are usually surprising. |
