What was the final factor that made you say "yes" to LU's offer of admission?

When I visited campus and saw how friendly and inviting all the students and faculty were, I felt completely comfortable and at home, and I knew that Lawrence would be a good fit.

Who is your favorite professor at LU?

Professor Ansfield, in the psychology department incorporates stories and references into class which make the subject matter relatable and interesting to study.

What is your favorite part about being a Lawrentian?

I love how musically involved everybody on campus is, whether or not they are in the music conservatory.

Which is your favorite resident hall?

Ormsby is my favorite residence hall because it is the oldest dorm on campus, and it has very high ceilings and hardwood floors in all the rooms. Ormsby’s location is also ideal because it is right next to the academic buildings, but not too far from Downer either.

What is your fondest memory of your roommate from freshman year?

My roommate and I were both on campus over Thanksgiving break, when most other people in the dorms were still home. It gave us a great opportunity to spend a lot of time together, and become much closer.

Downer, Lucy’s, or Union Grill, and Downer dining room A, B, or C?

I like Lucy’s because even though there is less of a selection than at Downer, the food is generally better and the environment is cozier. Plus they have great cookies!

If you could only eat one type of candy bar for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

I could eat Snickers for the rest of my life. It is the perfect combination of sweet, salty and crunchy.

What is an uncommon hobby you have, and why do you like it?

I love to take pictures of sunsets. I think they are beautiful and calming, and capturing it on film helps me remember each one.

What is something LU helped you learn about yourself?

Coming from a very liberal environment in the city that I am from, coming to Lawrence has exposed me to people and viewpoints that I would not have seen otherwise. This has helped me grow as a person and be able to see issues from multiple viewpoints.
