What was the final factor that made you say "yes" to LU's offer of admission? |
I really loved the feeling I got from the Voice Faculty at my audition. They asked me lots of questions about my goals and interests, which was something I hadn’t experienced in any other audition. It seemed like they really cared about what I wanted from them, not just what they saw in me. I immediately felt comfortable on the campus; Everyone I met was welcoming and extremely helpful. As I looked back on my visit during the last few days before the decision deadline, I realized that these things made Lawrence University stand out my mind and it just felt like a place where I could really feel comfortable to grow musically and intellectually. |
What is the best course you’ve taken at LU? |
I really enjoyed the Literary Analysis class I took my sophomore year. I had the chance to read several wonderful short stories and novels, such as “Sula” and “The Things they Carried”. It really recharged my passion for literature and reading. |
What is an interesting/helpful fact you learned about LU after you came here? |
The number of international/abroad students that Lawrence hosts is really impressive. I believe it’s about 12%. That’s a lot for a small school!! |

Which is your favorite resident hall? |
I love the Co-op house. I love the Friday night open dinner that they have every week. Good food, for free!! And the people there are always a lot of fun. |
What is something you wish you would have brought with you freshman year? |
I wish I had brought a video camera. I had so much fun, met so many great people. I wish I could have captured some of it. |
Where is your favorite study spot? |
The coffeehouse on Monday nights during the Jazz Jam is one of my favorites. |

|
If you were a crayon or paint swatch, what color would you be? |
I would definitely be Tickle-me-pink, because I like to laugh and I like it when people make me laugh |
What was your favorite theme party thrown this year at LU, and what did you dress as? |
My favorite theme party is the “Nearly Naked” party, where you wear a costume made of anything but clothing. I wore a garment bag. |
What is something LU helped you learn about yourself? |
That there are so many opportunities for me to take advantage of, at Lawrence and elsewhere. I just recently returned from a semester abroad in Vienna, Austria. I never would have thought I would/could have done something like that on my own. It has definitely made me a stronger, independent person. |
