What was the final factor that made you say "yes" to LU's offer of admission?

Having a great time on my overnight visit. I just got the sense that this was a place where I would really like to spend 4 or 5 years of my life.

What one thing would you say is “The Lawrence Difference”?

The people – students, professors, coaches, etc. You can have a good conversation with just about anyone.

What is your favorite part about being a Lawrentian?

Feeling at home on campus and feeling like part of a great community.

What is your fondest memory of your roommate from freshman year?

He has this live Jimmy Buffett recording he always listens to.

What is something you wish you would have brought with you freshman year?

Wish I hadn’t brought a TV; it’s just sat in the closet.

What is your favorite thing to do in Appleton?

Sal’s Pizza.

If you could only eat one type of candy bar for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

Snickers ice cream. Refreshing, and I love the peanuts.

What is an uncommon hobby you have, and why do you like it?

Keeping a meticulous running log. It’s really rewarding to read what you’ve done, and can be an effective reminder to stay in shape.

What is something LU helped you learn about yourself?

It’s fun to surprise yourself by doing something you wouldn’t expect yourself to do. Don’t get caught by thinking you’re a certain way and have to stay that way.
