Who is your favorite professor at LU?

I don’t have a favorite, but I favorites! Goldgar, Chaney, Orr, Carr, Taylor, and Reed have been the awesome! Professor Reed (RIP) was my Freshman Studies professor and Taylor was my advisor for Freshman and Sophomore year and was also my Latin professor for two terms. These two men taught me how to write and think at the college level and they were also great mentors outside of the classroom. Goldgar, Chaney, and Orr are terrifying! But they are brilliant and their classes are amazing and challenging. They have taught me so much and, because of their challenging courses, I have improved as a student. Carr is a wit and her classes are anything amusing and challenging. Basically, I love going to class because the professors at LU are top notch, are fantastic teachers, and demand that students produce their best work.

What is an interesting/helpful fact you learned about LU after you came here?

Potato bar day means that I am guaranteed some form of a sweet potato for at least four days.

Which is your favorite resident hall?

Ormsby- I lived there as a Freshman, so it is near and dear to my heart. Plus, my roommate rocked!

What is something you wish you would have brought with you freshman year?

The more costume type things you have in college, THE BETTER! You never know when a 1980’s outfit will come in handy!

What is your favorite thing to do in Appleton?

I love running around Appleton. There are some nice trails and parks that provide a change of scenery. I love going down to Brewed Awakenings for coffee. The really enjoy the PAC and the Appleton Public Library.

If you were a fruit, which would you be?

A fig or an avocado. They are both surprising fruits. The texture and taste both throw you because it is not what you initially expect.

What was your favorite theme party thrown this year at LU, and what did you dress as?

Nerds and Sexy Librarians. I went as a Marian the Librarian type.

What is something LU helped you learn about yourself?

Pretty much that I should accept myself for who I am at this moment. It has also proven to me that the academic world is my first love and that I want to pursue a career within it.
