What was the final factor that made you say "yes" to LU's offer of admission? |
The warm welcome I received from faculty, staff and students when I came to visit and audition. Everyone helped in easing my nerves and made me feel much more comfortable and excited about Lawrence. I felt well taken care of and attended to. |
What is the best course you’ve taken at LU? |
Freshman Studies. The course helped develop skills that I continue to use throughout my college career, including writing, communicating and critical thinking and reading. |
What is an interesting/helpful fact you learned about LU after you came here? |
I’ve learned that when discovering how to manage your busy schedule, you can’t forget to schedule time to have fun and relax – it’s the only way you’ll stay sane. :) |

What is your fondest memory of your roommate from freshman year? |
My very first weekend I moved into Lawrence I fell ill with pneumonia and strep throat, and had to spend the night in the hospital. My roommate, who I had known for only a few days, spent the majority of the night there with me, and when I arrived back to the dorm, she had little chocolates and a card for me. |
What is your favorite thing to do in Appleton? |
Grabbing coffee or food with friends or professors downtown, at any of the various shops or restaurants. |

If you were a crayon or paint swatch, what color would you be? |
I would be any iridescent color so I could trick people. Now you see me, now you don’t! |
What is an uncommon hobby you have, and why do you like it? |
Yes. It’s called CDD – actually more of a disorder than a hobby. Compulsive Dancing Disorder – can break out at any time – usually at the most inappropriate or inopportune moments. |
What is something LU helped you learn about yourself? |
Lawrence has taught me how to explore different areas of interest, and how to manage all the things I want to do. It has taught me how to be able to participate in theatre, music, and various organizations, activities and volunteer opportunities. I have learned how to properly manage such activities in order to fulfill my commitment to them all, and to excel in them. |
