What was the final factor that made you say "yes" to LU's offer of admission?

What sealed the deal for me was the campus visit. As soon as I got on campus I felt comfortable. Everyone was friendly and laid back and seemed really interested in me as a person and not as a number. I felt like they were trying to get to know me rather than weed me out.

Who is your favorite professor at LU?

Professor Peregrine, Anthropology. I love that he pairs his knowledge with irreverence and humor. He also wants students to question everything.

What is an interesting/helpful fact you learned about LU after you came here?

There is so much free stuff to do here if you only open your eyes!

What is your fondest memory of your roommate from freshman year?

I had a car full of things and she just had two suitcases and a box.

Downer, Lucy’s, or Union Grill, and Downer dining room A, B, or C?

I like Lucy’s for lunch because it is cozy and there are usually fresh cookies, but when I go to downer (where there is more variety) I like to sit in C because it is high up and I have a view of campus; I really like to eat by natural light too.

Where is your favorite study spot?

I love the big tables in the library on first floor because I can spread out, have internet, and feel like I am not isolating myself from the world while I study. Lots of natural light too.

If you were a crayon or paint swatch, what color would you be?

I would be this really deep red because I am a very passionate person, and this color would be called “The Devil’s Diva Crimson.”

If you could only eat one type of candy bar for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

I would eat the Ritter Sport Milk Chocolate squares for the rest of my life. There is nothing better than pure chocolate. I also feel like I would get tired of fillings if I had to stick with something else for the rest of my life so I figure plain is the way to go.

What is something LU helped you learn about yourself?

LU taught me that I cannot be the person I have always wanted to be unless I take risks; it also taught me the value of a good support system and the importance of good friendships.
