What one thing would you say is “The Lawrence Difference”? |
I think one aspect of the Lawrence difference is the focus of students in their area of interest. Students don’t just glide by on classes they don’t care about. Every student I’ve talked to takes classes that provide a challenge. |
What is an interesting/helpful fact you learned about LU after you came here? |
I learned that any person can be involved in the Con in some way or another whether it means being part of an ensemble or taking private lessons. |
What is your favorite part about being a Lawrentian? |
My favorite part of being a Lawrentian is knowing that there are so many different performances, speakers, poetry readings, etc. everyday of the week so I am never bored. |

Which is your favorite resident hall? |
Ormsby! I live there right now and I love the high ceilings and wood floors. We all know each other and the family feeling is present. |
What is something you wish you would have brought with you freshman year? |
I wish my roommate and I had room to bring a fouton. |
What is your favorite thing to do in Appleton? |

If you could only eat one type of candy bar for the rest of your life, which would you choose? |
Snickers because I could sing “Happy Peanut Song” anytime anywhere. |
What is an uncommon hobby you have, and why do you like it? |
I really like hip hop dancing. I’m a voice major and I’m around classical music all the time. I love classical music and have a deep appreciation for it, however I need my own music as well to break out and dance too. |
What is something LU helped you learn about yourself? |
I have always thought of myself as an open-minded person. I came from a pretty reserved high school with not much variety in religions, race, or sexuality. Coming here I have learned to so much about different cultures and have learned to handle myself in new situations. I have learned not to judge people based on their activities, but rather who they are as a person. |
