What is the best course you’ve taken at LU? |
I took Intro to Film Studies with Julie McQuinn. It was an awesome class and I couldn’t believe how much I learned. Professor McQuinn creates a classroom environment that keeps you completely interested, and now whenever I see a new movie I get much more out of it! |
What one thing would you say is “The Lawrence Difference”? |
The professors and staff. There are always people willing to help you around campus. It doesn’t matter if you have an academic problem or if you’re just homesick, someone will help you through it. I was worried about LU being too small, but I love that the professors and staff know who I am. |

What is your fondest memory of your roommate from freshman year? |
My roommate Emma and I used to make smores in the microwave when we took study breaks. One night, I started choking after attempting to eat my smore too quickly, and Emma kept looking from me to the melting smore in her hand. Don’t worry, eventually she chose to put down her smore and save me. |
What is something you wish you would have brought with you freshman year? |
A tool set. I know it sounds crazy, but you’ll need it eventually. |
What is your favorite thing to do in Appleton? |
Go to the parks. There are some great homework spots when it’s nice outside. |

If you were a crayon or paint swatch, what color would you be? |
Cerulean. It’s a really cool shade of blue, and I love the name. |
If you could only eat one type of candy bar for the rest of your life, which would you choose? |
Twix. I could eat twix bars for days on end. Chocolate, caramel and cookie – what else do you need? |
What is an uncommon hobby you have, and why do you like it? |
My grandmother taught me to cross-stitch when I was eight. Sometimes, it’s just a nice alternative to reading! |
