What was the final factor that made you say "yes" to LU's offer of admission? It was definitely the people that I met here. Whether it was an admissions counselor, professor, student or athlete, I got one vibe in common from them...this is your home. This is where you belong and you are welcome here. The inviting atmosphere of the people that are here said that this where I wanted to be.
Who is your favorite professor (and their department) at LU? Why? Professor Alison Guenther-Pal (German): When I first came to LU I had her as my professor and she right off the back she gave out an enthusiastic and exciting teaching vibe. She got to know me not only as a student, but also as a person. I know that if I ever need help with something in any class or outside of academics that I can go to her for advice. She makes learning German interesting and inviting.
What one thing would you say is “The Lawrence Difference”? EVERYONE is different! I haven't met one person or group of people here that is the same. It's not like in high school where there are cliques left and right, but there are different people who have friends from a variety of backgrounds. There is a lot of diversity that keeps everyone at LU on their toes.
What is an interesting/helpful fact you learned about LU after you came here? Time Management: When you go to college you are the only one responsible for you. Learning how to manage your studies, sports, music, and activities is crucial. It's easy to do as long as you're organized.

Which is your favorite resident hall? Why? Colman: Colman may be off on it's own side of the campus but we make our own fun and awesomeness there. The RLA's are fun and outgoing people that want to make sure that the residents of Colman stay alive! The activities we do there (dance parties, apple/pumpkin picking, movie showings, etc.) really bring the whole building together.
What is something you wish you would have brought with you freshman year? Snow Boots...being from the South, I didn't really think of that when winter rolled around and there was inches upon inches of big white fluffy stuff on the ground.
What do you find most exciting aout the new Campus Center? The amount of things that are to do. You can do everything from eating, studying, music performances, going to fun activities and more.
What is your favorite study spot on campus? The Cafe for sure... I really like to get my work done in there, but I also can run into my friends and people I know at the same time.
What is your favorite thing to do in Appleton? Go to the mall...there are a lot of things to do there and see and places to go eat with friends.

If you were a fruit, which would you be? Why? I'm definitely a peach! I'm from Atlanta,GA so there is nothing else that I could be...sweet with a southern touch.
If you could only eat one type of candy bar for the rest of your life, which would you choose? REESE'S!!!! Their peanut buttery chocolate goodness melts in your mouth and is good for the soul.
What is an uncommon hobby you have? Why do you like it? I like doing arts and crafts...making signs and bracelets, putting together goody bags for various occasions, etc. I find it relaxing and a good break from my everyday studying and activities.
What is something LU helped you learn about yourself? LU helped me learn who I really was...coming out of high school I wanted to get a fresh start at college and that meant exploring myself and the kinds of friends I wanted to have. Here at LU I learned what kind of person I am and who I want to be.
