What was the final factor that made you say "yes" to LU's offer of admission?: The close relationships developed between students and between students and their professors.
What is the best course (and its department) that you have taken? Why?: Playscript Analysis, Theatre Department, because it really pushed me to be a more critical reader in a field that I am passionate about and to be a more eloquent writer.
What one thing would you say is “The Lawrence Difference”?: Freshmen Studies! You learn so much about so many different fields of study right off the bat. SO COOL!
What is your favorite part about being a Lawrentian?: Having permission to be curious about anything; if you want to learn more about something - anything - your peers and professors will help you out.
Which is your favorite resident hall? Why?: Plantz is my favorite new student dorm - the lounge is always lively and it's a great place to make awesome friends. But Hiett is my favorite upper-classmen dorm because it gives you that slight sense of independence.
What is something you wish you would have brought with you freshman year?: I wish that I would have had a planner. It's great to have an organizational tool like that to help you remember everything you need to do and everywhere you need to be!
What do you find most exciting about the new Campus Center?: That it's open 24/7. If I need to get a paper done and want to get out of my room, I can hop on over to the campus center any time of day or night.
What is your favorite thing to do in Appleton?: I like to go out with a group of friends for a casual, yet nice, dinner and a movie. It's a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of campus while being a relaxing and fun time.
If you were a fruit, which would you be? Why?: I would be a passion fruit because I love the color purple and I consider myself to be sweet, but not too sweet.
If you could only eat one type of candy bar for the rest of your life, which would you choose?: This is easy: Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. They're so tasty! I love the peanut butter they use.
What is an uncommon hobby you have? Why do you like it?: I show dogs. It's super fun and it's a great way to learn hard work, patience and how to keep it together when something unexpected happens.
What is something LU helped you learn about yourself?: I've learned how to prioritize a lot better and how to keep a healthy balance of academics, extra-curricular activities, social life and me time.
