What was the final factor that made you say "yes" to LU's offer of admission? The double degree program here is awesome - the perfect combination of conservatory level music and strong liberal arts academics along with very friendly students and a close community
Who is your favorite professor (and their department) at LU? Why? Hard to say - one of my freshman studies professors, Mr. Jordheim is a saxophone teacher and one of the most amazing teachers I've had. His expectation for perfection in writing really reminded me of the writing process and after our required meetings for papers, I would always leave extremely excited to write my paper or do more research.
What is the best course (and its department) that you have taken? Why? I don't know if I have a favorite yet. I love sightsinging, I really enjoyed Cultural Anthropology, and am currently in Cross-Cultural Psychology which I love. Freshman Studies was also really fun.
What one thing would you say is “The Lawrence Difference”? I hear people playing Bach in the residence hall staircase.
What is your favorite part about being a Lawrentian? Getting to know (and then always knowing afterward because it's so small) extremely interesting, talented, eclectic and intellectual people. I've very rarely had a conversation with someone here that does not have "substance"

What is your fondest memory of your roommate from freshman year? Clinging to each other the first few weeks of the year, and making leaf piles and jumping in them together after we roadtripped down to Chicago!
What do you find most exciting aout the new Campus Center? The fact that one single space can be used as a dance studio, recital hall, study space, group meeting place, yoga studio, and a place to hang out with friends all while overlooking the fox river. Also, the green roof on top of the building and the fact that it is LEED certified to the gold standard!!
What is your favorite study spot on campus? Somerset in the Campus Center
What is your favorite thing to do in Appleton? Going to Vagabond Imports and Brewed Awakenings or the awesome shows at the PAC!

If you were a fruit, which would you be? Why? A Kumquat. Mostly because I like the way it sounds - it's one of my favorite words. But some variations of this fruit are very hardy, can withstand cold temperatures (I can't say I can yet but I want to be able to), and it symbolizes good luck in some Asian countries and is given as gifts during New Years!! That's a pretty cool fruit... pretty much I strive to be like a kumquat.
If you could only eat one type of candy bar for the rest of your life, which would you choose? Snickers. It has nuts in it - so there is substance, sweetness, and lots of other stuff that I probably don't want to know about. But at least it's yummy.
What is an uncommon hobby you have? Why do you like it? Sorting through my paper clips/ tacks/ rubber bands jar and making my own tea bags.
What is something LU helped you learn about yourself? So far I've learned that I am not necessarily always going to do what I have planned for myself - I can surprise myself in what I can do, what I want to do, and how I get there.
