What was the final factor that made you say "yes" to LU's offer of admission? I could not escape the gravitational pull of Lawrence. Having grown up in Appleton, it was my intent to go to a college reasonably far away but the more I learned about this place, and the harder I tried to find its flaws, the more I fell in love with it.
What one thing would you say is “The Lawrence Difference”? The people! I'm astounded every day at the variety of personalities, interests, opinions, and style of my fellow Lawrentians. It makes my life here much more interesting, and it adds perspective to my life that wouldn't otherwise be there.
What is an interesting/helpful fact you learned about LU after you came here? I learned about the "Lawrence Bubble." Essentially, the term means that most, if not all of your needs, intellectually and otherwise, can be met right here on campus. I'm still surprised at how little I want to leave, it's simply better inside!
What is your favorite part about being a Lawrentian? My favorite part about being a Lawrentian is that I have the opportunity EVERY DAY to feed off of the ambitious energy that this place has to offer. I have the chance to learn from incredible professors, and also from incredible peers with stories and life experiences I could hardly imagine. Furthermore, through my work in admissions I have the chance to share this opportunity with tons of ambitious people looking for the right school for them.

Which is your favorite resident hall? Why? I'm a diehard fan of Sage Hall simply because it has defined my experience here thus far... that said, I secretly admire Ormsby for its awesome Hall Council and the culture of engaged students who live there. The high ceilings and wood floors are also pretty excellent.
What do you find most exciting aout the new Campus Center? The Ellerman Stage in the Cafe. It is rapidly becoming a cultural hot-spot on campus, and it plays host to nationally-known musicians, as well as an awesome Jazz Jam on Monday nights.
What is your favorite study spot on campus? The Somerset Room in the Campus Center. I write my best papers there, it's truly a beautiful spot. The huge windows and great views of the Fox River also allow for a new appreciation of the seasons.
What is your favorite thing to do in Appleton? I enjoy grabbing a cup of coffee downtown and checking out some of the little shops.

If you were a fruit, which would you be? Why? I'm a lot like an apple, I am well-liked and versatile. Smother me in caramel for an autumnal delight, or catch me in the morning for a crisp, delicious conversation.
If you could only eat one type of candy bar for the rest of your life, which would you choose? The most important thing to consider in this question is nutritional benefit. With that in mind, I would go with Snickers, because of it's protein/sugar ratio. Though a peanut butter cup might deliver more protein, variety is the second most important factor, and the Snickers delivers.
If you were a crayon or paint swatch, what color would be you? Why? Banana Yellow - see fruit question. (I'm really terrible at these sorts of questions).
If you could only eat one type of candy bar for the rest of your life, which would you choose? a HEATH bar...because it's one letter away from 'health'...
What was your favorite theme party thrown this year at LU, and what did you dress as? Togas and Techno, and the name should imply the outfit- I went in the top sheet off of my bunk, my mom was less-than pleased when she found out I stapled it because I didn't know how to tie a toga.
What is something LU helped you learn about yourself? I have learned that being who you are will give you the most joy and success in life. Good things happen to people who are open and receptive to them, and your peers will take notice if you are truly of admirable character, it doesn't take any kind of put-on to make that happen.
