| What was the final factor that made you say "yes" to LU's offer of admission? | My conversation with Teege (my admissions counselor) was the deciding factor. During our conversation it was really clear that at Lawrence there would be so many opportunities to explore. It was that glimpse of the limitless-ness of Lawrence that got me hooked. |
| What is the best course (and its department) that you have taken? Why? | Geology of Lake Superior. We explored northern Wisconsin and Michigan's UP looking at lots of beautiful rocks. Now I'm getting some experience tackling the murky world of technical geology papers. |
| What is an interesting/helpful fact you learned about LU after you came here? | Go to Co-op on Friday evenings for delicious vegetarian/vegan dinner! |
| What is your favorite part about being a Lawrentian? | I love the connection that being a Lawrentian gives you to everyone who has ever attended LU. Freshman Studies=instant conversation starter. |
|
|
| Which is your favorite resident hall? Why? | I love my house, which is the SLUG house (sustainable garden house). I share it with 7 other SLUGs and we do all of our own cooking. |
| What is your fondest memory of your roommate from freshman year? | When I found out that she likes to get up as early in the morning as I do! |
| What is something you wish you would have brought with you freshman year? | Ear plugs for those nights when nobody else seems to have sleeping to do. |
| What is your favorite study spot on campus? | At the tall tables on the second floor of the library. I've recently discovered that I stay focused/awake much longer if I stand while I study. |
|
|
| If you were a crayon or paint swatch, what color would be you? Why? | Gingko-leaf green. I love the tiny gingko tree next to Draheim. |
| If you could only eat one type of candy bar for the rest of your life, which would you choose? | Hershey's dark chocolate with blueberries and cranberries. So many delicious antioxidants. |
| What is an uncommon hobby you have? Why do you like it? | I like making envelopes from the pages of old books and magazines and then sending them to my friends at other schools. |
| What is something LU helped you learn about yourself? | LU helped me learn how to ask for help. Everyone here from professors to our maintenance staff are incredibly kind and helpful. |
