| What was the final factor that made you say "yes" to LU's offer of admission?: | My visit to campus was what sealed the deal. Everybody was so friendly and welcoming, and I just thought it was a place where I could really be happy. |
| Who is your favorite professor (and their department) at LU? Why?: | Professor Terry Gottfried of psychology is my favorite professor -- he is so friendly and helpful to students. I love going into his office just to chat! |
| What is the best course (and its department) that you have taken? Why?: | Spanish Film in the Spanish department was my favorite class that I have taken so far at Lawrence. Watching and analyzing popular films from Spain was a great (and fun!) way to improve my skills in the language and learn about Spanish culture. |
| What is your favorite part about being a Lawrentian?: | I love that I am able to seize every opportunity here and explore new things that interest me even if I don't plan to major or minor in it. I love the fact that I can take music classes without being in the conservatory and art classes without being an art major. |
| Which is your favorite resident hall? Why?: | Ormsby is my favorite hall because it is the oldest and one of the smallest, so it usually has a great community. Also, all the rooms have hard-wood floors and high ceilings! |
| What do you find most exciting about the new Campus Center?: | The cafe is my favorite part of the new Campus Center. The bagel sandwiches are delicious, the coffee is great (and strong!) and it's a great place to sit and do work or meet up with friends. |
| What is your favorite study spot on campus?: | I love studying outside on Main Hall Green (when the weather is nice out). |
| What is your favorite thing to do in Appleton?: | I love all of the coffee shops on College Avenue (Harmony Cafe, Brewed Awakenings, Copper Rock). They all have different vibes but are each great places to go for coffee, food, to do work, or just hang out. |
| If you were a crayon or paint swatch, what color would be you? Why?: | Mellow yellow? Yellow is bright and cheery but mellow implies that I can chill out too. |
| If you could only eat one type of candy bar for the rest of your life, which would you choose?: | I could eat only M&Ms for the rest of my life-- there are so many varieties! Plain, peanut, peanut butter, dark chocolate... |
| What is an uncommon hobby you have? Why do you like it?: | My biggest hobby is photography. I love being able to capture emotion and moments on film, and developing and enlarging in the darkroom is both relaxing and fun. |
| What is something LU helped you learn about yourself?: | Lawrence has opened me up to trying new things and getting out of my comfort zone-- Coming to college this far away from home definitely took some adjusting and it has helped me learn to be more independent. |
