Who is your favorite professor (and their department) at LU? Why? I love them all! But if I had to choose, my favorite professor would have to be Jason Brozek in the Government department because of the very contagious excitement that he brings to the classroom, that makes learning easy and fun. Plus, he is quite a spiffy dresser.
What is the best course (and its department) that you have taken? Why? My favorite LU course was self designed course, Race and Gender. I took this tutorial in the spring of my sophomore year, this course looked at the intersectionality of race and gender. For one thing, to have a class that was just my professor and I was incredible, even if it meant I could never slack off. The fact that I was able to learn what I wanted at the breadth and depth that I wanted is a tangible example of seemingly intangible notion of individualized learning. It’s real y’all!
What is an interesting/helpful fact you learned about LU after you came here? I learned that I there is a typical Lawrence student; there are no two students who are the same. Each individual Lawrence student has a unique experience, but we are all united by our desire to learn and challenge ourselves. The diversity in experiences is what make this place so interesting.
What is your favorite part about being a Lawrentian? The people! It is what makes the school. The relationships I build while I am here at Lawrence with my peers but also with the faculty and staff is probably the single most important thing to me. Long after I forget what I learned in my freshmen classes, I will still remember the conversations I had my first night here. My favorite part about being a Lawrentian is the community that we have all created. A community that I am certain extends beyond four years.

What is your fondest memory of your roommate from freshman year? My roommate arrived at Lawrence with only a duffle bag and his guitar-I could not believe it. But he was able to get settled within minutes and explore the campus, while I spent most of my first day buried under my boxes. Don’t over pack.
What do you find most exciting about the new Campus Center? The cafe, I spend so much time there, I should start paying rent.
What is your favorite study spot on campus? Sommerset Room! It has great views, excellently comfy couches , a very relaxed atmosphere and only 50 feet from my front door.
What is your favorite thing to do in Appleton? Going to Katsu-Ya with friends. Katsu-Ya is a great Japanese restaurant down College Av. Their yellowtail roll is DELISH.

If you were a fruit, which would you be? Why? A tomato. It is a fruit!
If you could only eat one type of candy bar for the rest of your life, which would you choose? Vosges Bacon Bar (applewood smoked bacon + Alder wood smoked salt + deep milk chocolate) because it's the prefect blend of sugar, spice, and everything nice.
What is an uncommon hobby you have? Why do you like it? I can watch Youtube videos for hours! It is a like a labyrinth of awesomeness.
What was your favorite theme party thrown this year at LU, and what did you dress as? At the risk of sounding self-absorbed, I would have to say my favorite themed party is my annual, Alex Ajayi's Elegante Extravagante Holiday ParPar because I get to wear a suit!
