Steven Syverson has been the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at Lawrence since 1983. Prior to that he served as the director of admissions at Pomona College in Claremont, California. Steve served as vice-president of the NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling) for Admission Practices, president of the Wisconsin ACAC and, prior to moving to Wisconsin, chaired the Admission Practices Committee for the Western ACAC.

A native to California, Steve and his family have made Appleton their home for the last 25 years. He is especially proud of the fact that his daughter is now an alumna of Lawrence.
