Conservatory Admission

If you are planning on pursuing a major in music, there are a few additional steps to complete your application. As with all applicants, you must complete the Common Application, Lawrence Supplement, and submit an academic teacher recommendation, school report, transcript, test scores (optional) and a $40 application fee. In addition, you need to schedule an audition, complete a music resume and submit a music teacher evaluation. Please note that you can only apply as a regular decision student, as we consider all music applicants together.

Auditions

You are required to audition if you plan on pursuing any of our degree options with a major in music, or if you are planning on majoring in something other than music and would like to compete for an Ensemble Award.

Music Resume

A music resume detailing your musical experiences is also required. You can either fill out our music resume, or submit your own resume. Your resume is due by the application deadline.

Music Teacher Evaluation

In addition to your academic teacher recommendation, you also need to submit a music teacher evaluation. This evaluation can be completed by your private teacher, high school teacher, or other teacher who could speak to your musical abilities. Your evaluation is also due by the application deadline.
