Eligibility
Because Lawrence draws students from so many different school environments around the country and the world--each with its own unique combination of course offerings, grading systems, and level of competition--you won't find one of those "X GPA + Y ACT/SAT = Z Scholarship" formulas here. We take a more holistic approach, considering your:
- Academic performance, especially within the "big five" (English, math, languages, natural sciences, history/social studies);
- Strength of curriculum within the context of your school environment;
- Class rank, if available. (And yes, we do consier the quality of the school and competitive nature of the student population);
- Essay, thoughtfully written;
- Standardized test results, if you provide them.
Application and Notification
Submit your completed Common Application and Lawrence Supplement by the appropriate application deadline. If you receive an academic scholarship, you will learn about it at the time you receive your admission decision from us.
