The U.S. Department of Education gives financial aid administrators the ability to consider a family's special circumstances in determining a student's financial need. Special circumstances may have occurred since you filed the FAFSA or they might be circumstances that were not accounted for on the FASFA. Supporting documentation is required for all special circumstance requests.
In order to have your family's special circumstances considered, you must submit the following to the Lawrence University Financial Aid Office:
1. Special Circumstance Form - Page 1
2. Copy of Pages 1 & 2 of Parent Federal Tax Return (IRS Form 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ)
3. Copy of Parent W-2 Form(s)
4. Copy of Most Recent Parent Paystub(s)
5. Corresponding Page Below & Supporting Documentation
All special circumstance requests are reviewed in accordance with guidance from the Department of Education and Lawrence University policy. Changes in financial aid packages are based on the availability of funds.
