If you are planning on spending the night on campus, please register for your Admitted Student Day at least two weeks in advance. That will help us ensure the best possible overnight experience for you.

6:00 - 6:30 p.m.

 

Sunday Evening Check-in
Spending the night in the Residence Halls is a great way to get an insider's view of campus life! Enjoy dinner and a variety of evening activities with your overnight host.

6:30 p.m.

 

Parent Reception
Join the Admissions Office staff for a reception with faculty and parents of current students. Get your questions answered by those who know first hand about sending their kids to Lawrence - a panel of current parents will conclude the evening. Hors d'oeuvres will be served.


Monday April 6 or 20

 8:00 - 8:30 a.m. Monday Morning Check-in
Check-in for those who didn't do so Sunday night. Pick up attendance cards for courses you wish to attend today. (Continental breakfast available.)
 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Opening Session
Throughout the day a variety of activities will be available for you to choose from. Check back later to view a more detailed itinerary. Activities will include:

  • Campus Tours, Classes, and Presentations
    Choose from a variety of activities! Campus tours, classes, and presentations will be available. A schedule of available options will be included in your arrival packet.
  • Talk with Faculty
    Faculty will be available to discuss their department, the overall academic program or even what your freshman year will look like.
  • Freshman Studies (Students and Parent Sessions)
    Freshman Studies is an integral part of all students' first year experience at Lawrence. Special sessions of Freshman Studies have been designed to give you an opportunity to see this class for yourself. And who knows? Perhaps one of the students in your Admitted Student Day section will be sitting with you in that same class in September!
  • Student Panel : The First-Year Experience
    Questions? Current students have the answers.
  • Residence Halls Open
    Check out the different residence halls and decide where you want to live. (And if you're ready you can even turn in your housing contract with your enrollment deposit at the end of the day!)
  • Office Open Houses
    Want to check out the library? Have questions about health services on campus? Need an Off-Campus Study list for the coming year? Want to ask about tutoring services? Ready to drop off your enrollment deposit at the Admissions Office? A variety of campus offices will be ready to answer any final questions you may have.
