Do you really want to know how a “normal” day at Lawrence looks? Want to talk with students and professors about what they’re (and you’re) interested in? Would you like to meet your charming and enigmatic admissions counselor? Check out one of our Admitted Student Days, which include programs specially designed to give admitted students (like yourself) the best of what Lawrence has to offer. Immerse yourself in our world for a day; visit real classes that are in session, attend informational sessions on academic disciplines and degree programs, have an advising appointment with a professor in an area of interest, and most importantly, let Lawrentians – students, faculty, and staff – help you decide if this is the place for you.
The Sunday Overnight Stay
You have the option of staying overnight with a student host the Sunday night before the Admitted Student Day (Monday). Signing up is easy – just register through the online form, or when you call to set up your Admitted Student Day registration. We ask that students be on campus by the end of the registration time on Sunday if they would like to stay overnight.
Please reserve your overnight space at least two weeks before the day you wish to attend. Spaces are limited, so we encourage you let us know as soon as you decide to visit. An overnight waiver form is required.
We can only accommodate overnight visitors for one night – from Sunday to Monday. If you plan to arrive in the area earlier or stay later, we have a list of local accommodations .
Advising Appointments
If you’d like to take the opportunity to meet with a professor in an area of academic interest, we’ll be happy to set up a short advising appointment. This will give you a chance to ask all the questions about the department that no one but a faculty member will be able to answer, to get a sense of the faculty with whom you might be working, and get a better idea of the work and research that both faculty and students are doing. If you’re interested in an advising appointment, let us know when you register.
