About 50% of all Lawrence students study off-campus at some point in their undergraduate college career. Lawrence offers around 60 domestic and international (nine are domestic, the rest involve travel abroad) programs for students.
Your faculty advisor, as well as the off-campus program advisor (who works out of the International House) will be able to help you choose a program that will be interesting and fulfilling for you. Most off-campus programs are affiliated with Lawrence, and offered through the Associated Colleges of the Midwest, IES (The Institute for the International Education of Students) or ISA (International Studies Abroad); the Lawrence London Centre and the Senegal Francophone Program, however, are operated and sponsored by Lawrence University.
Your first opportunity to study off-campus would be during your sophomore year, though most students study off-campus during their junior or senior year at Lawrence. It is entirely possible to study off-campus and graduate on time, regardless of when you choose to travel away from Lawrence.
