Annual Spanish Immersion Program in Björklunden:
SIGN UP PROCEDURES FOR BJÖRKLUNDEN IMMERSION WEEKEND
The annual immersion weekend is open to all Spanish majors, minors, and students enrolled in any Spanish course at the time of the trip. The announcement is made in all Spanish classes during the Spring Term and is e-mailed to all Spanish majors, minors, and curent students. Sign up sheet is posted in the Main Hall office 107.
Students who sign up, and later change their mind, are asked to notify the office (x6900) or Spanish Dept. faculty in advance; failure to do so will count as two unexcused absences in Spanish class.
ABOUT BJÖRKLUNDEN
Björklunden Vid Sjön is a 425-acre Door County estate on the Wisconsin shores of Lake Michigan. A mere two-hours' drive from Appleton, Björklunden serves as Lawrence University's northern campus.
Once a year, usually during the third (spring) term, the Spanish Department organizes a language and culture immersion weekend at Björklunden.
The event is open to Spanish majors, minors, and students who are enrolled in Spanish courses during the spring term, on a first-come, first-served basis, and the number of participants is usually limited to 45. Beginning of a sign up period is announced in late March in all Spanish courses.
