Lawence University Francophone Seminar
Eligibility
The minimum requirement for participation is French 202 or equivalent (two years of college French). Students must formally apply to the program through the Off-Campus Programs Office (Alice Serra) on or before April 4th, 2007. Application materials are available on the off-campus programs website.Before departure
Students are required to participate in a two-unit orientation course that meets once a week. Guest speakers provide an introduction to Dakar in particular and the Senegalese culture and way of life in general. Advice and information is given by professors and past participants of the ten-week sojourn in Senegal. (N.B., Students from other campuses may be asked to participate in an intensive weekend orientation.) Students must receive all the needed immunizations before they leave.
