Required for the minor in biomedical ethics
- Completion of the following core courses:
- Biomedical Ethics 120/Philosophy 120: Introduction to Biomedical Ethics
- Biology 110: Principles of Biology, Biology 103: Biotechnology and Society, or Anthropology 140: Biological Anthropology
- Biomedical Ethics 290/Economics 290: The Economics of Medical Care or Biomedical Ethics 495/Government 495: Health Policy
- Psychology 245: Health Psychology or Anthropology 342: Medical Anthropology
- Biomedical Ethics 380/Philosophy 380: Ethics of Technology or an approved independent study project on some aspect of biomedical ethics or health policy.
- 12 additional units from the courses listed below Independent study projects must be approved by the advisory committee. Possible contexts for projects include a Mielke, Kasel, or Hughes internship (page 65 of the Course Catalog), a tutorial, an independent study course, or a health care-related project in conjunction with an off-campus program.
