1.
Hail to our Alma Mater, Cherished in truth and dear!
We are her loyal children, A circle that widens each year,
Let us carry her colors boldly, The modest Blue and White,
Emblems of truth and our ideal, To steadily gain more light.
Chorus
Light is our Lawrence watchword, and Truth which gives us light!
Bind we them for our breastplate, And thus shall we win life's fight.
2.
Sweet are the days we spend here, Strong are the ties we form,
Friendships that last forever, And help us in sunshine and storm.
Dear is the well-known river, And loved are the vine-clad walls,
Mingled our pleasures and labors, In the picture each heart recalls.
Chorus

1.
O'er the Fox the pale moon shimmered,
Beauty bathed the silver dome;
And the elms on the campus
Murmured softly, "Lawrence is our dear Old Home."
Chorus
Lawrence is our dear Old Home,
Lawrence is our dear Old Home;
And the elms on the campus
Murmured softly, "Lawrence is our dear Old Home."
2.
In our lives sweet mem'ries cluster,
Linger still, where'er we roam;
And our hearts are forever
Singing softly, "Lawrence is our dear Old Home."
Chorus
3.
Benediction falls upon us,
Falls as soft as ocean's foam,
When our hearts turn to Lawrence
Whisp'ring softly, "Lawrence is our dear Old Home."
Chorus
Here's a cheer for our Alma Mater!
Here's a cheer for the Hawthorn tree!
Here's a cheer for our violet meadows
And the halls that resound with glee!
And here's to our ivied tower,
The dial shall remembered be.
Here's a heart full of love for our college!
Our college, here's to thee!
Sesquicentennial Anthem
In the Quest for Understanding
1.
In the quest for understanding, for knowledge deep and true;
with the intellect and talent we bring to all we do;
when our studies isolate us or promote a common task;
through the growth of taste and judgment by learning what to ask;
though the answers seem less frequent than questions they invite;
as new challenges confront us: we search for light, more light.
2.
From the scholars past and present by whom our minds are stirred;
from the artists who inspire us through beauties seen or heard;
from the labors of our founders, resolute and bravely wise,
from the shock of fresh perspectives that take us by surprise;
from the hope that understanding will help our world unite;
from our daily life at Lawrence: we gather light, more light.

On your marks, get set, get ready,
Go Lawrence, GO LAWRENCE GO.
Hold that line and hold it steady,
Go Lawrence, GO LAWRENCE GO.
We'll send a raft down the Fox, burning bright,
To blazon a victory for our Blue and White.
So, On your marks, get set, get ready,
GO LAWRENCE, Lawrence go.
The Vikings bold, as in days of old, are a smitin', fightin' crew.
With a strength untold they will e'er uphold honor bright and White and Blue.
So go, you Lawrentians! Show your intentions! We know that you'll come through.
